Abortion Clinic Worker: Can God Forgive Me?

A former Planned Parenthood worker recently called into a Christian radio station to ask if God could ever forgive her for working in an abortion clinic and gave a very disturbing testimony about what really happens to pregnant women who walk through those doors.

LiveActionNews.com is reporting on the story of an anonymous Planned Parenthood employee who called into The Line of Fire radio show with Dr. Michael Brown earlier this summer. The woman described herself as a single mother who was working in an administrative role in the clinic even though she was totally against abortion. She admitted to feeling guilt about her job which she took only because it pays so well.

“I know we have to answer to God for everything that we do, but will I be judged the same way as people who actually has abortions and things like that?” she asked. “How do you think God sees that? Do you think I am too far gone to go back?”

Of course she would never be too far gone to go back to God, Dr. Brown said, but “you need to get out of there” and quit, he told her.

She had only been working at the clinic for four months and said she was promised she would never have to “see anything in the back” when she was hired.

“Anything in the back” refers to the POC room – which stands for “products of conception.”

“It’s where things are processed,” the woman said through tears. “They refer to it as either ‘tissue’ or ‘fetus’ but I saw it for the first time. It’s a baby. It’s not tissue. It’s really bad. It is. It’s a baby; there’s legs, there’s arms and there is eyes. It’s a baby.”

She admitted that abortion is murder and that “what the pro-life people say it is, they’re telling you the truth.”

She’s so embarrassed about her job that she stopped going to church.

During the course of the interview, this terribly conflicted soul described the so-called “counseling” that pregnant women get at the clinic.

“We have a process before [women are] even taken back to see a physician where we go over options, but it’s just very quick, like, you know your options are… To carry the fetus to term, give it for adoption, or have an abortion. Are you sure about your decision? That’s the extent that it goes," she said.

Legally, they have to offer women the opportunity to see an ultrasound, which some women decline, while others do and opt not to have an abortion. But many of these come back later because they are poor, abandoned by their boyfriends or families and have nowhere to go for help. Planned Parenthood does nothing to help them and refuses to refer them to pregnancy resource centers where women can be connected with free services that can help them carry a baby to term and get them back on their feet.

Pro-life protesters, who the worker described as “really nice people” for whom she sometimes buys hot chocolate, are often kept too far away from the clinic doors to reach women who are looking for other options.

Instead, the women are pressured into abortion:

“Some women come in, and they say they’re not sure and it’s almost like sometimes, not all the time, sometimes some doctors will almost push for them to get the abortion. And they’ll say well ultimately it’s your decision, but they put too much emphasis on the positive effects of the abortion. Like, you’ll have more time to yourself to maybe make a better decision when you’re older and ready or in a better situation. It’s almost like it’s pushed for. And it’s, it’s almost glorified – it’s sick.”

But this is not surprising because, as the clinic worker admits, abortion “is what brings in the money. There’s thousands a day that we do. We don’t do it every day, there’s just certain days of the week. But it’s very lucrative. In one day I could buy a car.”

It’s easy to see how this young single mother felt compelled to take such a good-paying job, but we can only wonder if the psychological and emotional distress she’s suffering is worth it. From the sounds of her testimony, a little less money and the peace of a clear conscience would be a much better choice.
