A woman wrote to our ministry recently to ask for advice about a young family member who was very much into the game, Magic: The Gathering.

In an effort to help Christian parents and educators learn how to discern whether or not this content is suitable for children, I would like to post insights from Michael O’Brien’s book, Harry Potter and the Paganization of Culture and other useful sources which I hope they will find useful.
I recently received an email from a reader who was concerned about the ill-effects suffered by a follower of Shekina Rose, a so-called “Priestess of Light, Divine Messenger and Harmonic Vocalist” who claims to be able to produce a musical tone that can do everything from heal cancer to transform DNA.
JA writes: “I am a mom and we often go for playdates. Unfortunately many of our friends are using essential oils, homeopathics, yoga, Harry Potter, ….. my question is, can we visit their houses? Can they visit our house?”
