True to form, the abortion industry is doing everything in its power to capitalize on the coronavirus emergency by using this pandemic to expand access to abortion. Thanks to the vigilance of the pro-life movement, many of their efforts have been successfully thwarted.
The new, pro-abortion majority in the U.S. House of Representatives made a powerful statement on their first day in power by passing a funding bill that would repeal a major pro-life policy. Although it has no hope of being signed into law, this statement must not go unanswered!

The faithful are expressing their outrage this morning after learning that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a long-time advocate of abortion and same-sex marriage, has written a letter to San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone asking him not to attend the upcoming March for Marriage in Washington, DC.

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi once again resorted to name-calling and answer-dodging tactics when asked to define the moral difference between killing a premature infant and abortion, but Priests for Life’s Fr. Frank Pavone is not letting her get away with it.
Rather than take on the thorny issue of how the birth control mandate in ObamaCare infringes on religious freedom in America, House Minority Leader and professed “devout Catholic” Nancy Pelosi dodged the question by saying she doesn’t have to agree with the U.S. bishops when they are acting like “lobbyists.”

In stark contrast to the pro-abortion “Catholic” Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the next Speaker of the U.S. House could be a practicing Catholic who prays daily and is a staunch defender of human life.
The Hill is reporting that House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), who could become the next Speaker of the House should the GOP regain the majority tomorrow as expected, recently told radio host Mike Gallagher that prayer has been one of the ways that he has been coping with the frantic pace of election-year politics.
“I’ve been praying all day, every day, trying to make it through this election and make sure our team is successful,” Boehner said.
“[Prayer] does work,” Boehner told Gallagher. “You’ve just got to stay at it every day and build a closer relationship with our Savior.”
A practicing Roman Catholic who is staunchly pro-life, the perpetually tan chain-smoking Republican is one of 12 children from a working-class Catholic family who is now the proud father of two daughters.
Boehner has never been known to mince words, and was an outspoken opponent of abortion funding in ObamaCare. When the president issued an Executive Order that allegedly corrected these problems, Boehner saw through the empty gesture.
” . . . (N)o Executive Order or regulation can override a statutory mandate unless Congress passes a law that prohibits federal funding from being used in this manner,” he said.
Boehner also intends to press forward with a bill sponsored by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) that will codify the Hyde Amendment which prohibits taxpayer funding of abortion. Called the “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act”, the bill will make the Hyde Amendment permanent law.
He has also vowed to repeal ObamaCare. “House Republicans are fighting to repeal this life-threatening health care law and replace it with responsible solutions focused on lowering costs and expanding access to quality, affordable care while protecting the dignity of all human life.”
