Atheists Sue Judge Who Gave Bible to Defendant

Last week, the nation was riveted by a video depicting Brandt Jean, brother of slain twenty-six year old Botham Jean, forgiving and expressing love for his brother’s killer. It was so moving, even the judge left the bench to retrieve her personal Bible and gift it to the defendant, a loving deed for which she is now being punished.

Judge Rules Against Atheist “Prayer” in U.S. House

A decision rendered on Good Friday by a D.C. federal appeals court has ruled that Father Patrick Conroy, chaplain at the U.S. House of Representatives, does not have to allow an atheist to deliver their daily prayer.

Atheists Fail to Intimidate HUD Secretary

When an atheist group tried to bully Housing and Urban Development (HUD) secretary Ben Carson about his attendance at a weekly Bible study at the White House, he defiantly told them, “I will not step being a Christian while in service to this country.”

May 5 is National Day of Prayer

Just two weeks after the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed a constitutional challenge to the National Day of Prayer, President Barack Obama issued an official proclamation declaring Thursday, May 5, as a day for “all people of faith” to join the presidnet “in asking God for guidance, mercy, and protection for our Nation.”

Federal Court Strikes Down National Day of Prayer

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) which represented 31 members of Congress in an amicus brief defending the National Day of Prayer, said yesterday’s decision by a federal district court in Wisconsin declaring the National Day of Prayer unconstitutional is flawed and expressed confidence that this decision will be overturned.
