Less than a week after the 118th Congress got down to business, legislators took three important steps to protect the life of the unborn; they passed a bill protecting babies born alive after an abortion, a measure condemning political violence against pro-life crisis pregnancy centers, and defeated the radical Women’s Health Protection Act that would have legalized abortion up to the point of birth.
Because of the horrifying statistics concerning the treatment of babies born alive after an abortion attempt, lawmakers are refusing to let the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act die and are now invoking a rare procedural tactic to force a vote in the U.S. House.

You can run, but you can’t hide! That’s the message pro-life lawmakers in the House are sending to their pro-abortion peers as a new effort gets underway to force a vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivor Protection Act – which has overwhelming support from the American people – so that the public can clearly see where their representatives stand on the issue of legal infanticide.

As shocking as Monday night’s vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivor’s Protection Act was to the nation, it was even more appalling to Catholics who watched 10 Senators who claim to be Catholic vote against a bill that would protect babies who were born alive after an abortion.
By a vote of 53-44, a bill to protect infants born alive after an abortion failed to pass with pro-abortion Democrats preventing the measure to receive the necessary 60 votes.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has scheduled a Senate vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S.11) for tonight. If passed, the would extend federal legal protection not babies born alive during an abortion.

The American public was horrified on Tuesday night when an army of white-clothed female lawmakers refused to applaud when President Trump called for an end to the ungodly practice of late-term abortion and infanticide. As a result, lawmakers are now preparing to expose the abortion extremists in their ranks by fast-tracking the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to a public vote on the floor of the House and Senate.
In response to last week’s controversies over a new wave of extreme abortion laws that would amount to allowing infanticide should infants be born alive, pro-life Senators attempted to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act by unanimous consent. Democrat Senator Patty Murray (Wash) objected to the bill, thus preventing its passage – for now.
While the furor of the government shutdown was distracting the attention of most Americans, the U.S. House passed an important bill that will protect babies who are born alive after an abortion attempt.
