As the Supreme Court comes to the end of this, the justices handed down two rulings that deliver victories to Christians against atheist activists who were trying to strip the words “In God We Trust” from US currency and have a World War I memorial in the shape of a cross removed from public property.

The same humanist group that peppered the Washington DC transit system with signs reading “Why Believe in a God? Just be Good for Goodness’ Sake” last Christmas is back with a new and larger campaign aimed at the growing percentage of people who claim no religious affiliation.

The annual anti-Christmas campaigns are underway. In preparation for the 2008 Christmas season, the American Humanist Association (AHA) is plastering advertisements questioning the existence of God all over metro buses Washington, DC.
