The pursuit of Christian virtue

January 23

“Not all of us are expected to die a martyr’s death, but we are called to the pursuit of Christian virtue. This demands strength of character…a constant, persistent and relentless effort is being asked of us right up to the moment of our death.”

-Pope Pius XII

Today’s Reflection:

Dear Holy Spirit, illuminate for me today the virtue I need to acquire the most. Give me the grace to persist in its achievement today and every day of my life. Amen.
