How do we grow in virtue?

St. John Vianney, whose feast we celebrate today, offers us the sage advice of “doing often those things that are opposites to one’s besetting sins.”

I have often heard the same advice from Johnnette. It’s so practical, but not always so easy to practice. Here again, discipline is so important. What are some of the vices that we can focus on getting rid of and the opposite virtues we can practice in their place?
