Infinite Goodness

July 8

“Nevertheless, He has willed that correspondence on the part of human beings is necessary, and has consequently placed in our nature the capacity for disposing ourselves towards receiving the supernatural action of grace.  Through cultivating human virtues–resilience, loyalty, truthfulness, affection, courtesy–we prepare our soul in the best possible way for the action of the Holly Spirit.”

 Today’s Reflection:
In order for a good action to become a virtue, it must be practiced consistently and with resolution.  This begins to establish an interior disposition– a “good habit,” if you will.  The more a virtue is practiced, the greater is the likelihood that it will become a part of us, a way of behavior which identifies our character and punctuates our daily life.
God is always drawing us to Him.  How is He currently calling you to grow in virtue?  Which virtue is missing from your life?
