Love Your Enemies

July 6

“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
-Matthew 5:44 (RSV)
 Today’s Reflection:
As we enter into prayer for those who have hurt us, a dynamic begins to take place deep within our souls.  We find that gradually, little by little, the pain we have experienced is assuaged and the anger we hold against that individual becomes tempered.  Almost imperceptibly, we begin to experience God’s love for that person.
Who is God calling me to forgive today?  Ask Him for the grace to be freed from anger towards another.
