Thousands to Pray on Good Friday for Victims of Abortion

Thousands of people from all faiths and backgrounds are planning to gather at abortion clinics across the country to pray the Way of the Cross for Victims of Abortion on Good Friday.

Life News is reporting on the event which will take place on March 30 at abortion clinics throughout the country. This year marks the fifth anniversary of this prayerful initiative which was launched in 2014 by the Pro-Life Action League to commemorate the 60 million children lost to abortion since the legalization in 1973.

“At this moving event, pro-lifers nationwide will contemplate the suffering of Jesus Christ at our own modern day Golgotha, the abortion clinic,” the League reports.

The movement has grown significantly in the last five years with the number of abortion clinics where the services will be held doubling since 2014.

However, the League would like to add many more clinics to the list and are supplying all the tools people need to set up a service at a clinic in their area such as templates to promote your event through e-mail and churches and other practical advice.

“Good Friday marks the bleak day that Jesus suffered and died on the Cross as an innocent victim,” remarked Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League and national coordinator of the event. “Two thousand years later, innocent unborn children made in His image are suffering and dying every day through abortion. Through our Way of the Cross prayer vigil, we forge a spiritual link between Jesus on the Cross and the unborn victims of abortion.”
