The second in a series of previously unreleased undercover videos by pro-life investigator David Daleiden captures a high level senior executive at Planned Parenthood haggling over per-specimen pricing for the livers, lungs, and brains of aborted babies.
The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) has released another video capturing the moment Dr. Mary Gatter, senior executive at Planned Parenthood – the same woman who joked about wanting a Lamborghini in exchange for baby parts in a previous video – is seen arguing prices for aborted baby parts.
The filming takes place at an evening reception at a Planned Parenthood conference where CMP investigators posed as buyers from a biotech company. They are introduced to Dr. Gatter by Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services who was seen in a previous video munching on salad while discussing how she strategically crushes unborn babies in order to preserve desired body parts.
Gatter asks the buyers what kind of volume they need and what gestational ages, noting that “specimens” are available up to 16 weeks.
The buyer mentions that most people are now pricing per specimen, Gatter replies. “Per specimen. Like $75 a specimen?”
The buyer then says, “What we’ve been quoting is $50 per specimen. I think some people are doing more, some slightly less.”
Gatter then comments, “Yeah, $50’s on the low end, $50 [per specimen] was like 12 years ago.”
The buyer then explains, “What we like about per-specimen is that way we’re not paying for [fetal] material that we can’t use, you know?”
Gatter nods, saying, “Yeah yeah, yeah.”
After haggling over the harvesting of the body parts, which takes place by representatives of the buyers on the premises of Planned Parenthood, Gatter concludes the conversation by saying, “Yeah I’d be willing, give me a call.”
As the CMP points out, federal law permits reimbursement for specified costs in a fetal organ or tissue donation, but prohibits the purchase and sale of the organs and tissues themselves (42 U.S.C. 289g-2).
“The fact that [buyers] Novogenix, StemExpress, and ABR stationed their own workers inside Planned Parenthood abortion clinics to perform the harvesting, packaging, and transport of aborted baby body parts demonstrates that Planned Parenthood had no reimbursable costs under the law,” Daleiden says in a statement.
The leader of the CMP project, who has been harassed by a string of frivolous lawsuits by the abortion industry ever since releasing his tapes in 2015, is only adding to the growing chorus of opposition to federal funding of Planned Parenthood.
“The volume-based sums that Planned Parenthood charged these businesses for baby parts are criminal trafficking and profiteering in fetal body parts,” Daleiden said. “The U.S. Department of Justice should take heed of the Congressional investigations’ criminal referrals and prosecute Planned Parenthood to the full extent of the law, and taxpayers must stop being forced to subsidize Planned Parenthood’s criminal abortion empire.”
