ObamaCare Grant Funds for Gay-Friendly Sex Ed Program

The Department of Health and Human Services has released a sex-education funding grant under the new healthcare law that will allow school children to be indoctrinated in the homosexual lifestyle.

OneNewsNow.com is reporting that the program, known as the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP), will receive $55 million in funds in order to provide a comprehensive sex education program with a curriculum based on “the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth” with instructions that it must be “inclusive” of these participants.

“Once again we see the Obama administration placing politics before what is in the best interest of our nation’s youth,” Matt Barber, director of cultural affairs at Liberty Counsel, told OneNewsNow. “This is a purely political maneuver, and it really amounts to malpractice on the part of the Department of Health and Human Services….”

Barber says he believes health officials are doing a disservice in convincing youth that a practice should be tolerated when that behavior is a proven risk for STDs and HIV/AIDS, he said.

Not surprisingly, homosexual activists are applauding the grant. Ty Cobb of the homosexualist Human Rights Campaign (HRC) lauded the inclusion of homosexual youth in the funded program, calling it a positive step.  He also called on Congress to stop funding all abstinence education “and instead support comprehensive sexuality education that empowers students, LGBT and straight alike, to live healthy lives.”

The Obama administration has been a consistent supporter of the homosexual agenda. Since taking office, he has included homosexuals in National Family Day and recognized gay “fathers” in this year’s Father’s Day proclamation. He has also been a strong supporter of repealing the military’s “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy which bars open homosexuals from serving in the army. Although he claims he does not support same-sex marriage, he is in favor of repealing the Defense of Marriage Act, a law that is preventing the imposition of same-sex marriage at the state level.
