Women of Grace at the Padre Pio Festival

IMG_2362Bonnie Torpey, Susan Jacobsen, Nancy Elhajj, Antonetta Mosca and Lori Citsay represented the Women of Grace sacred sisterhood at an information table at the 16th annual Padre Pio Festival in Vineland, New Jersey on September 25, 2016.  Over 8000 people had the opportunity to venerate the heart of Padre Pio that was brought to the United States for the first time by Capuchin Friars from the Shrine of St. Padre Pio in southern Italy.

FullSizeRenderRegional Coordinator, Nancy Elhajj stated, “I felt privileged to be among so many faith filled people who waited in long lines to venerate the relic.  I was especially impressed by the Knights of Columbus in full regalia who stood vigil around the clock as an honor guard.”

Regional Coordinator, Susan Jacobsen added, “ And how blessed we were to also  venerate a few drops of blood of St. Teresa of Calcutta brought to the event by two beautiful Missionary Sisters of Charity.”

Many women stopped by the Women of Grace table.  Some of the topics discussed ranged from questions about what the church teaches to how to sign up for the foundational study that was slated to begin the following week at Padre Pio parish.  The facilitators were grateful for the opportunity to pray with women who had been moved by the spiritual nature of the day.
