More Media Bias: Kaepernick vs. Tebow

Why is San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick receiving so much applause from the media for standing up for his beliefs by snubbing the American flag when the same media couldn’t wait to bash Tim Tebow every time he displayed his beliefs by kneeling in grateful prayer on the field? is reporting on yet another example of the glaring hypocrisy of the mainstream media as pointed out by former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling.

“This is the same sport whose media couldn’t wait, on a weekly basis, to vilify Tim Tebow for lowering his head in prayer to God as a Christian. The media had a field day. You go back and look at that, and they just went nuts and berated this guy,” Schilling told Breitbart’s Washington Political Editor Matthew Boyle.

tim tebowThe same media that couldn’t wait to mock Tebow every week is now praising Kaepernick for his belief that this nation’s flag doesn’t deserve respect because it doesn’t treat blacks the way he believes it should.

“The media has become entranced with being the story,” Schilling went on to say. “That’s one of the reasons why we are where we are. They’ve given up all pretense of objectivity. They’ve made it very clear that they, as a whole, are left-leaning, liberal, progressive, socialist, envying people who want Hillary Clinton to be the President. That’s no longer a mystery. So who and how you turn to to get information, I think, is something that needs to be adjusted now.”

Kaepernick’s snubbing of the flag has sparked some furious blowback for the 49ers and the NFL by some who believe the quarterback should be fired for what he did – but will that ever happen?

“They’re in San Francisco, which is one of the most liberal cities on the planet. They may give him a standing ovation the first game instead of a boo,” Schilling said. “But I think as they travel, if he stays on the team, things will change.”
