INTRODUCTION

Feminine authority, of course, cannot be examined in isolation. Therefore it is necessary to spend time looking at the meaning of male authority.  Christ is head of the Church, but this does not mean that He is head as a dominant Lord. Christ is head because He is the arche`, the origin of the Church’s life and existence.
