Make Use Of The Sacraments
…the sacrament of Penance brings us peace. All sin destroys. It disintegrates. It destroys man’s relationship with God, his relationship with others, and his own interior unity or integrity. Peace cannot be found in disintegration. It can be found only in wholeness. The sacrament of Penance reconciles us to God, to one another, and to ourselves. Thus peace is restored. The fact that Jesus’ first words confer peace and that He offers peace to the disciples twice is indicative of its importance and its association with the sacrament He is about to institute.
