Former Femen Feminist Repents

sara girominA former member of the radical feminist group, Femen, whose topless and blasphemous escapades have captured headlines around the world, admits to having a drastic change of heart after giving birth to her first child and is now repenting for her past bad behavior and expressing a desire to return to church.

The Christian Post (CP) is reporting on the story of Sara Fernanda Giromin, once known by the alias “Sara Winter” who founded the feminist group Femen Brazil in 2012. Giromin led dozens of topless protests throughout the country calling for LGBT rights and the legalization of abortion. She is perhaps best known for the photograph of her kissing another nearly naked woman while laying on top of a cross in front of a church that went viral on social media a few years ago.

But that all changed when she became pregnant for the second time and decided to have the child rather than resorting to the abortion that ended the life of her first child. Discovering the beauty of motherhood brought about a radical change of heart that inspired her to post a video on YouTube on Dec. 15 asking Christians to forgive her for her offensive actions.

“Asking for forgiveness is certainly not an easy thing to do,” Giromin told the CP in Portugese. “We went way too far and ended up offending many religious and non-religious people.”

She’s also experienced a powerful epiphany about the radical feminist movement which is detailed in her new book, Bitch no! Seven Times I was Betrayed by Feminism.

Even though she joined Femen to fight for women who are victims of domestic violence and rape, the group’s agenda was all about drugs and LGBT rights. They rigidly pursued these goals, even to the point of pushing abortion-inducing drugs on frightened young pregnant women like herself a few years ago.

“I asked for help in our feminist group and a feminist friend offered me abortion medicines,” Giromin said. “I was really desperate and more than 50 feminists were saying to me ‘If you do it, it will empower your body. If you make an abortion, you will have more experience to speak like a feminist.'”

Unfortunately, she experienced life-threatening complications after taking the drug and desperately searched for help among her feminist friends – to no avail.

“I was bleeding so much, I was really, really scared,” she explained. “I called for a feminist friend. I was so desperate in asking for help. I asked for help because I needed to go to hospital but no one helped me.”

Even though she hated men at the time, it was a man who finally took her to the hospital and paid all of her medical expenses after a week’s stay.

“God was there for me and a man,” Giromin said. “This experience helped me to realize that abortion is never a solution, it’s only one more problem. I am against abortion in all situations. This is the biggest regret in my whole life and I cannot cover this huge hole in my heart.”

Giromin said this is the way feminists treated many of the young girls and women who joined their ranks, pressuring them to engage in sex with strangers and even become bisexual or lesbian.

“If you are straight or religious, you will be compared by a lesbian or a bisexual feminist group always as less of a feminist,” Giromin said. “If you disagree with some part of their agenda, you will be persecuted, totally persecuted, and will be exposed and humiliated.”

But that doesn’t matter to her any more. All she wants now is to make amends and return to church again. Raised Catholic, she hasn’t been inside a church since she was 14.

“For sure, I am Christian. I always was a Christian,” Giromin asserted. “I want to come back to the church but for now I am really embarrassed for my feminist past. But if someone could help me to come back, I will love it.”

Let us all pray that someone will reach out to this beautiful young woman and lead her back to the Church where she belongs!
