Priests For Life Mobilizes Citizens on Health Care

During these last crucial days before the vote on a pro-abortion health care reform bill, Father Frank Pavone has put together a short “to do” list for all pro-life citizens.

“We are at a critical point in the health care debate and it is urgent that the people of God speak up!” he said in a recent e-mail alert in which he recommended four specific forms of action to be taken by concerned citizens and clergy in the next few days.

1) Contact your representative in Congress once again to urge a “no” vote on the health care reform bill.

2) He is also recommending that every priest and deacon gather a few parishioners and make a personal visit to the local office of their representative, to urge a “no” vote on the bill. Visiting local offices at this point in the process is not only more convenient but also more effective than trying to visit their offices in Washington, DC.

3) Catholics should encourage the priests and deacons of their parish to make these visits.

4) Visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/health-care-reform-bill which has been set up by Priests for Life to track this activity which will help them to back up these action with their own as they struggle to reach out to every priest and deacon in the nation.

”The current flawed version of this health care bill would expand access to abortion like never before in history,” Fr. Pavone writes. “The lives of millions of unborn children depend on all of us taking action now.”
