Tennis Star Dumped by Catholic Group for Nude Photos

Top-ranked Polish tennis star, Agnieszka Radwanska, who frequently speaks of her Catholic faith, has lost the endorsement of a key Polish youth group after she posed nude in ESPN’s Body Issue.

Breitbart is reporting that Radwanska, who is ranked as number four among world tennis players, was recently removed from all future campaigns of the Polish youth group Krucjata Mlodych (meaning, Youth Crusade). The 24 year-old Radwanska has been outspoken about her faith and appeared in a video for the Youth Crusade’s “I’m Not Ashamed of Jesus” initiative in which she spells out the name of “Jesus” using tennis balls while urging young Poles to be proud of their faith.

However, her decision to pose nude for ESPN found the group declaring her behavior to be “immoral” and promptly severing all ties with her.

” . . . (I)t’s a shame that someone who has declared their love for Jesus is now promoting the mentality of men looking at a woman as a thing rather than a child of God respect and love,” said Father Marek Dziewiecki, a Senior Catholic priest.

“If she meets a man who she can truly love and establish a happy family and raise Catholic children, then she would probably have to hide these pictures from relatives.”
