In what many are calling a deliberate act of censorship, the mainstream media has almost completely ignored news of the 43 Catholic dioceses and organizations that are suing the Obama Administration over its birth control mandate.
According to Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center, evening news broadcasts refused to report on what is being called the biggest legal action in U.S. history.
“The fact is that the Catholic Church has unleashed legal Armageddon on the administration, promising ‘we will not comply’ with a health law that strips Catholics of their religious liberty. If this isn’t ‘news’ then there’s no such thing as news,” Bozell writes.
He goes on to call the absence of coverage “the worst bias by omission I have seen in the quarter century history of the Media Research Center. Every American knows about the Chinese communists withholding for 20 years the news that the US had landed on the moon, because it reflected poorly on the government. Our US media today are no different. They are now withholding news from the American people if it is harmful to the re-election of Barack Obama.”
Bozell does not see this omission as a mistake or a mere editorial oversight. “This is a deliberate and insidious withholding of national news to protect the ‘Chosen One’ who ABC, CBS and NBC have worked so hard to elect and are now abusing their journalistic influence to reelect Obama.”
The only exception was CBS News, which gave the story 19 seconds of airtime, but did so only to distort the story by presenting it as a contraception lawsuit rather than a religious freedom issue, something Bozell calls “dishonest – a flat out lie.”
The story should have led newscasts on the day the suit was filed, which it did on what appears to be the only balanced news network in existence in America these days – Fox News. As for the other networks, mum was the word.
“Instead, these networks are sending a clear message to all Americans that the networks will go to any lengths – even censoring from the public an event of this historic magnitude – to prevent the release of any information that will hurt Obama’s chances of re-election,” Bozell writes.
He adds: “The so-called ‘news’ media have sunk to a new low. This is despicable.”

Though your criticism of the media is justified, our situation in Philadelphia is even more egregious re national media coverage. Despite a criminal trial, lasting now for two months, that is the first to prosecute a clergy supervisor in the US Catholic Church, the national media coverage of such an important issue is practically non-existent. The protection of ALL of our children from sexual abuse and predation mandates that national media coverage should be a priority. Obviously, for the national media, there are far more important issues that the protection of our children.
AS FOR ME I WILL HAVE NO PART OF THE KILLING OF ANY HUMAN LIFE. DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY TAXPAYERS SHOLD NOT BE FORCED TO COMPLY OR BE FINED WITH MANDATES OF THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES HEALTHCARE PLAN. ABORTION AND EUTHANASIA ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT HEALTHCARE. THIS IS MURDER.
This is a perfect example of the major corporations , media, politics the elite forcing there agenda on us . Stand up for what you believe in ! The enemy is seeking and destroying . wake up!
