As news broke that the al-Qaeda-inspired Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) ordered all Christians out of the Iraqi city of Mosul this weekend – allowing them to take nothing but the clothes on their backs – Pope Francis expressed deep sorrow and compassion for their plight.

The largest ever survey of Americans’ sexual orientation has revealed that only 1.6 percent of the population identifies as homosexual.
New Executive Order Discriminates Against Christian Contractors
President Barack Obama is planning to sign an executive order today that will prohibit discrimination against gay and transgender workers in the federal government and its contracting agencies, including many religious organizations who will now be forced to choose between federal contracts or violating their faith.
