Study: Atheists More Knowledgeable About Religion than Christians

According to a new study released by the Pew Research Center, atheists and agnostics, Jews and Mormons are among the highest-scoring groups on a new survey of religious knowledge, outperforming evangelical Protestants, mainline Protestants and Catholics on questions about the core teachings, history and leading figures of major world religions.

More ObamaCare Fallout: McDonalds May Drop Health Plan

The latest example of the disruptive effect ObamaCare will have on workers’ health plans, the McDonald’s Corporation has warned federal regulators that unless it waives a new requirement imposed by the bill, it may be forced to drop its health insurance plan for nearly 30,000 hourly workers.

Holy See: UN Youth Document Totally Excludes Role of Parents in Children’s Lives

A delegation from the Holy See has issued a statement regarding a declaration produced at the U.N. World Youth Conference in Leon, Mexico in which it questions why the necessary role of parents in the lives of their children, particularly in the area of sex education, is missing from the document.

The Alchemist

LM writes: “My son’s H.S. Freshman English teacher is considering reading the book “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. I am unfamiliar with this book but have looked at some descriptions on the internet. It seems New Age to me. I also looked at the document “Jesus Christ, Bearer of the Water of Life” and see that alchemy is referred to several times.
