Judicial Vicar in Fr. Murphy Case Speaks Out

The priest who presided over the trial of Fr. Lawrence Murphy, the Wisconsin priest convicted of molesting deaf boys several decades ago, said that because press reports of the case are so “sloppy and inaccurate,” he has decided to tell the “back story” in order to set the record straight.

Archbishop Dolan Calls on Catholics to Support the Pope

In a week when Catholics are following the suffering Christ through His death and resurrection, Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York is calling on Catholics to support the Pope who is enduring a media firestorm over new sex abuse allegations and who is now suffering some of the same unjust accusations, shouts of the mob, and scourging at the pillar, as did Jesus.”

Doctors Group Sues ObamaCare

A nationwide doctors group has become the first U.S. medical association to file a lawsuit against ObamaCare, which it says violates the Fifth and Tenth Amendments, the Commerce Clause and provisions authorizing taxation.

CB asks: “Someone recently asked me if Martial Arts was included in the New Age, in particular the Kyokushin Karate method. He knows someone heavily involved in this and wanted to find out if there was a problem with it.  Could you please let me know if you have a booklet on this aspect, or any information about whether this is dangerous to The Catholic Faith?”
