PETA Condemns Cruelty to Animals But Not to the Unborn

Last week, when President Barack Obama killed a fly during an interview, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) urged him to be more compassionate toward “even the smallest and least” of creatures. However, when asked about the killing of unborn humans, they claimed to have no “specific position.”

Action Needed Today to Stop Passage of “Cap and Tax” Energy Bill

At some time today, the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on an energy-rationing bill that will result in taxing the use of all products whose manufacture emits carbon, such as electricity, gasoline and heating oil.

White House Abruptly Sacks Bioethics Council

Members of the President’s U.S. Council on Bioethics were given one day’s notice that their services were no longer needed. The firing comes only months after the group issued a public letter to the President expressing their dismay over his decision to provide taxpayer funds for embryonic stem cell research.
