Scientist Wants Law to Prevent Creation of Humanzee

(April 30, 2008) A leading scientist in Scotland is warning that a new species of “humanzee,” created by breeding apes with humans, could become a reality unless the government takes steps to prevent it. The warning came on the same day that U.S. Rep. Chris Smith introduced a bill that would prohibit the practice in the United States.

Universal Day of Prayer for the Church in China

(April 28, 2008) Imprisoned Christians being tortured with cattle prods and forced to work 10 to 12 hours a day making soccer balls for the Olympic Games are only a few of the horror stories emerging from China as the opening of the Summer Games draws near. For this reason, Pope Benedict XVI has named May 24, the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, as a Universal Day of Prayer for the Church in China.

Teen Sounds Off About STD Epidemic

(April 25, 2008) An Indiana high school senior is becoming famous for the letter she wrote to a local newspaper about the shocking epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) among teens. Calling it “shameful” and “scandalous,” she faults a selfish society and calls upon so-called “sex experts” to “get their heads out of the clouds” when it comes to “safe-sex” education.
