(Program 10244) The saints encourage us to move beyond what we THINK we can do, to that which we REALLY CAN do through Christ. We will meet a few great saints whose perseverance in the midst of challenge can inspire us to remain faithful through the struggles of our own lives. Perseverance is defined as steady persistence in a course of action especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. As Catholics, our course of action is to make Christ present in the world and to attain eternal salvation; and nothing - not even the vicissitudes of life - ought to stop us.
