Here’s a statistic you may or may not know. Relatively half of first marriages end in divorce and about 60% of second marriages end in divorce.

While we cannot make light of the pain and suffering this may cost one or both spouses, the effects of divorce on the children of these marriages is devastating. However, for decades now, the prevailing myth is that children are happier if their parents are happier, and that children bounce back after divorce.

The fact is science shows divorce puts children at risk for a variety of emotional and psychological issues that can lead to all kinds of difficulties. And so the question is, how do we help children to cope? What can we do? In this Women of Grace series, we are seting out to answer these questions.
