In response to the postponement of the Beatification of Fulton J. Sheen, Bishop Daniel Jenky of the Diocese of Peoria is asking the faithful to join him in a special nine-day novena to “petition God unceasingly” that the postponed Cause may move forward to the Beatification and Canonization of Fulton Sheen.
One of the most influential Catholic figures of the 20th Century – Venerable Servant of God Fulton J. Sheen – will be beatified in his home diocese of Peoria, Illinois on December 21, 2019.
The miraculous recovery of a stillborn baby, whose parents turned to Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen for help, has been officially approved by Pope Francis, thus paving the way for the beatification of the popular televangelist.
