By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Writer A 22 year-old college graduate has decided to auction her virginity in order to pay off college loans and acquire the cash needed to pursue a Master’s degree in – of all things – Marriage and Family Therapy. “I don’t have a moral dilemma with it,” says the woman, who goes by the pseudonym “Natalie Dylan.”  “We live in a capitalist society.” Dylan’s bizarre idea received national attention when she was invited by New York “shock jock” Howard Stern to present her case on his show. Dylan was introduced to Stern by Dennis Hof, proprietor of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, Nevada's famed legal brothel where the consummation of the auction will take place and where Dylan’s sister already works.   Hof claims there won’t be any question about Dylan’s virtue; she is apparently willing to submit to a polygraph test and medical exam to confirm her virginity. "I think it's a tremendous idea," Hof told the press. "Why lose it to some guy in the backseat of a Toyota when you can pay for your education?" Dylan told The Insider  that she is "ready for the controversy" she expects from those who consider the on-line auction to be legalized prostitution.   "Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity? I think this is empowering. I'm using what I have to better myself." She added: "I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems, but it will create some financial stability. I'm ready for the controversy, I know it will come along. I'm ready to do this." According to US Magazine, Dylan insists she will consider more than just money when deciding who will claim her virginity. "Through this process I'm not just looking for the highest bidder," she said. "I'm looking for someone who is a genuine, overall nice person." Dylan has gone on the record to say she and her sister were forced into the “skin trade” partly because their stepfather allegedly took out student loans in their names without their permission, leaving them unable to finance their education. While she’s already earned a bachelor's degree in women's studies at Sacramento State, in January she plans to begin master's work in marriage and family therapy. She hopes to get a doctorate one day. Meanwhile, her mother, who she describes as a "conservative" fourth-grade teacher, doesn't approve of what she's doing, "but she supports me," Dylan said. Dylan claims she got the auction idea after reading about a Peruvian woman who needed to pay for her mother's medical bills and tried the same thing.
