Make Use Of The Sacraments
The Sacrament of Matrimony:”And the two Shall Become One.”
The grace “proper to the sacrament of Matrimony is intended to perfect the couple’s love and to strengthen their indissoluble unity” (CCC, no. 1641). Through this grace, they “help each other to attain to holiness in their married life and in the rearing and education of their children” (Lumen Gentium, no.11). It is the grace of Matrimony that strengthens a couple to endure the hardships of life and solidifies the sacredness of their union in pain and suffering.  And it is sacramental grace that encourages spouses to share forgiveness, tenderness, patience, and gentility.  This should come as no surprise since Christ himself is the source of the grace and dwells with them in their sacrament.
