New Film Looks at 2016 America if Obama Policies Continue

A powerful new documentary by Oscar-winning producer Gerald R. Molen takes audiences on a gripping visual journey into the life of President Barack Obama and explains where we will be in 2016 if the Obama Administration's policies are allowed to continue.

The new film, entitled 2016: Obama's America and produced by the same man who brought us Schindler's List, the Rain Man, and Jurassic Park, attempts to answer a simple question: "If Obama wins a second term, where will we be in 2016?"

"Across the globe and in America, people in 2008 hungered for a leader who would unite and lift us from economic turmoil and war," explains the film's official website. "True to America’s ideals, they invested their hope in a new kind of president, Barack Obama. What they didn't know is that Obama is a man with a past, and in powerful ways that past defines him--who he is, how he thinks, and where he intends to take America and the world."

The film is based on the best-selling book by Dinesh D'Souza entitled The Roots of Obama's Rage. The book follows the president's history across four continents asD'Souza attempts to find answers to Obama's past and reveal where America will be in 2016. During this process, he discovers "how Hope and Change became radically misunderstood, and identifies new flashpoints for hot wars in mankind’s greatest struggle," the site explains.

For his part, Molen is hoping people will be able to discern between the "dreams" of President Obama and those of the Founding Fathers and see the vast difference between the two.

"I've got a strong desire to defend against the changes in our culture, our life, our laws, our freedom. We now have someone in office who has professed a desire for change, and this has disturbed me," Molen told Inside the Beltway.

According to The Washington Times, Molen is a former U.S. Marine who shunned Hollywood for life in Montana. He remembers a more traditional "can-do" America and is not happy with the current president's penchant for going around Congress.

"We don't have an imperial presidency. He's not the king," Molen says.

His hope is that the film will prod people out of their complacency with proof that the political and cultural change that is coming may not be what they had in mind.

"I hope people find out that it's time to do their own research, get involved and ask this question: What kind of country do we want?" Molen says.

He predicts the film "will come alive" once it is released on July 27.

"All Americans want the same kind of country. Being united would be wonderful. But we're divided now, and it's frightening," Molen says.
