Prayer and Love
If you have learned how to pray, then I am not afraid for you. If you know how to pray, then you will love prayer - and if you love to pray, then you will pray. Knowledge will lead to love and love will lead to service.

Dear Lord,
Everything must start with prayer. If I am to grow in holiness, if I am to discover the truth of who I am as a woman, if I am to be a light in the world today, if my actions are to be imbued with Your life, then I must pray. Only if my works are fortified and strengthened through prayer can they merit any good in my life or in the lives of others. Only if my works are filled with the love that flows from Your heart into mine can they heal, soothe, and set free. May each thought, word, and deed that characterizes my life come from the moments I spend with You. Amen.

Daily Reflection:
· There is a difference between a humanitarian act and an act of charity. A humanitarian act can only go so far because it comes from natural inclinations. An act of charity, however, carries grace with it, and thus has the power to transform. In light of this, why is prayer so important for the mission to which I have been called?
· Why is prayer a conduit of love? Have I noticed this to be true in my own relationships – what has been the effect of prayer?
· Prayer places us in the crucible of the Father’s love. His flames heal us and purify us. To what extent do I accept or resist this grace in prayer?
· What is the effect of healing and purification on our ability to accept God’s love and share it with others? What effect do my healing and purification have on my mission of spiritual motherhood?
