St. Jerome tells us that ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ and so it is that we should encourage an appreciation of Sacred Scripture as early as possible in the life of a child.
In this Women of Grace series, we are going to talk about practical ways in which this can be done, how the various learning styles can be engaged in Scripture study, and ways to meet children right where they are developmentally to lead them forward in the way of God.
Finally, we’ll introduce a Scripture Study just for children that can be implemented and used in Catholic schools, home schools, CCD classes, and by parents as a supplement to catechetical programs. You’re going to discover why it is that teaching sacred scripture to children is, well, elementary.
