WGR10192 - Challeneges of Catholic Social Services

12/6/2010

(Program 10192) Social justice is a profoundly catholic idea first promulgated by Our Lord Himself. The term itself was coined by a Catholic churchman, in 1840. However anti-catholic bias runs straight and strong through the social service agencies of our secular culture, creating difficulties and challenges for Catholics engaged in the professions and for the tens of thousands of individuals who are seeking help through them. What is the effect of such suppression, what is at its root, and what can we do about it? Program Guests: Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, and Kathleen Neher
