A famous quote tells us that leaders are not born, they are made. And, this is true. It is equally true, however, that saints are not born, they, too, are made. And when their sanctity is formed in the mold of the Blessed Mother, they are well made and imbued with the very attributes of her own soul, says St. Louis Grignion de Montfort. Perhaps that is why Pope John Paul II attracted so many people to himself– the light of the Mother of God radiated through him to draw the hearts of the world to union with her Son, Jesus Christ.
