WGR10899 - Learn to Discern: Do You Know What You Don’t Know About Superstition? Part 5

10/30/2015

(Program 10899)
Guests: Susan Brinkmann

Aunt Rose stays home the 13th of every month and won’t sit in Row 13 on an airplane. The hair stands up on Uncle Dave’s neck when a black cat crosses his path. Ballplayers won’t leave the locker room without lacing their shoes in a certain way, wearing a certain pair of socks, tucking a talisman in their pocket.

These are just a few common superstitions that are fairly commonplace. But, did you know the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Sacred Scripture both warn us against superstition?

Why? Is superstition broader and more inclusive than we may think? Could we be superstitious and not know it? These are some of the questions our guest will answer for us today.
