The contemporary culture has not been kind to recent pontiffs and many of the statements, pronouncements, apostolic letters, and encyclicals they have promulgated.

But perhaps the one who received the most vitriolic response, even by his prelates, was Blessed Pope Paul the Sixth. Humanae Vitae was tried in the court of public opinion and was given the death sentence by contemporary society.

And yet, the predictions made by Pope Paul the Sixth have all come true - and then some. Here to discuss this with us is Father Shenan Boquet, president of Human Life International, whose mission is to restore the culture to one that promotes life in accordance with the plan of God and the teachings of the Church.
