Do you remember the Sons of Thunder from Sacred Scripture - Saint James and Saint John? Their mother went to Jesus and tried to work a deal with Him so that her boys could have premier places in the kingdom He was establishing.

While we understand her enthusiasm we also understand that her motivation was not pure - it was coming from self-interest. But, lest we judge her too harshly, don’t we all do this to some extent? Thinking so.
