Women of Grace® Event Details

Benedicta Leadership Institute for Women, Orchard Lake, MI

The Women of Grace Benedicta Leadership Institute for Women and SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary (SSCMS) have partnered to present a dynamic new offering for women interested in Catholic Women's Leadership. The first of its kind, this program provides women with the opportunity to acquire a certification or graduate credit hours in Catholic Women’s Leadership. Graduate credit hours can then be applied toward a Master of Arts in Theology degree with a concentration in Catholic Women's Leadership. No matter which level of endeavor a woman desires, this program will help her attain her goal, and assist her to “help transform the world one woman at a time."

Course Schedule: June 26 – 30, 2017

Course Title: Catholic Social Doctrine and Today’s Catholic Woman Leader (2 credits)

Course Instructor: Father Mitch Pacwa, S.J.

Course Description: This course will investigate the underlying principles of Catholic Social Teaching, their basis in Scripture and Tradition in concert with the Natural Law. A particular emphasis will be given to Rerum Novarum and Centesimus Annus. The course will also explore Catholic Social Teaching in light of 21st Century social challenges and ideologies, and their impact on today’s Catholic woman leader.
