The indoctrination of children into the amoral ideology of “progressive” elites has taken a new leap with the introduction of a transgender doll at the New York Toy Fair this weekend, a move that has prompted a backlash from concerned parents.

TFP Student Action, which is a project of the America Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) has initiated a petition drive directed at Robert Tonner, the founder of the Tonner Doll Company, which introduced the doll at the Toy Fair this past weekend.

“STOP using children as guinea pigs for the sexual revolution,” the petition states.

“For the good of our children, please cancel your production of the ‘transgender doll.’ The American College of Pediatricians warns: ‘Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse’.”

The petition has already garnered thousands of signatures in protest of the doll and the message it sends to children that transgender behavior is normal and should be celebrated.

According to CNN, the doll was designed and sculpted by Tonner, whose company specializes in adult collectibles. It is modeled after Jazz Jennings, star of the TLC show, Jazz, and features the same pink shirt and jean shorts Jazz is depicted in on the cover of her memoir, Being Jazz: My Life as a (Transgender) Teen.

"Jazz stands for everything I respect from a human nature point of view," Tonner said in a statement. "She's incredibly brave, intelligent, warmhearted and creative."

The dolls will be available for purchase in July.

"I hope that it can place transgender people in a positive light by showing that we are just like all other people," Jazz said.

Not according to the American College of Pediatricians who issued a statement in August, 2016 in which is stated: "Endorsing gender discordance as normal via public education and legal policies will confuse children and parents, leading more children to present [themselves] to 'gender clinics' where they will be given puberty-blocking drugs. This, in turn, virtually ensures that they will 'choose' a lifetime of carcinogenic and otherwise toxic cross-sex hormones, and likely consider unnecessary surgical mutilation of their healthy body parts as young adults."
