Women of Grace Meets American Idol

Johnnette-Fr-Ruben Stoddard-small On July 26th, Father Ed and myself attended the Reuben Studdard, Clay Aiken concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL. It was a wonderful evening, made all the more stellar because of the backstage passes acquired for Father and myself by Reuben’s uncle, Fred Williams. I have known Fred for better than 20 years, and for the past 17 years “Uncle Fred” has been our director at EWTN. We all had a blast as we regaled with music spanning four decades – from the 60’s through the 90’s. If the truth be known, Father Ed and I were both on our feet, “snapping our fingers and shuffling our feet” to the tunes. Obama Birthday Card Solicits Donations to DNC

By Susan Brinkmann, OCDS Staff Journalist First Lady Michelle Obama has sent out an e-mail message to thousands of supporters asking them to sign an electronic birthday card to be sent to her husband on his 49th birthday. When viewers click on the "sign the card" icon, it directs them to a page asking for donations to the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
